 Know your foot type (Normal, high arches, flat feet)

 Look for shoes that offer appropriate support

 Look for shoes with cushioning for shock absorption

 Shop in the afternoon

 Wear your sport socks

 Have a thumb width between the longest toe and the tip of the shoe

 Try on both shoes and lace them as you would for activity

 Walk or jog around the store
